We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Pizza Cook, Prep cook, and pantry cook to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for preparing quality food, is team-oriented, and communicates effectively with the rest of the staff. The right candidate for this position will be able to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment and know when to ask for help when necessary. Our restaurant won the 2022 Best Bite at the Downtone Melbourne Food and Wine Festival. We have two highly motivated chefs and an experienced team, who are willing to train and grow your skill set as a cook or a future chef. We are a scratch kitchen. We encourage cross training, if you have more experience on another station we can schedule on that station instead.

Responsibilities and requirements for pizza:

• Prepare and cook delicious pizzas in our authentic wood fire oven.
• Prepare dishes in a timely manner.
• Communicate with the hotline to ensure all plates come out together.
• Follow standardized recipes and maintain a sanitary kitchen area.
• Conform to standard kitchen safety protocols.
• Be able to follow recipes and be consistent.
• Have basic knife skills.
• Have availability for evening shifts. We are open 4-9 (Tuesday-Thursday and Sunday. 4-10 On Friday and Saturday)

Responsibilities and requirements for Prep cook:

• Be able to follow a recipe exactly
• Have consistent knife cuts, be able to work in a timely manner, and communicate with the cooks as they come in for their shifts.
• Be able to follow lists and instructions.
• Have experience in kitchen and cooking.
• Knowledge of health code and sanitation procedures
• Morning to afternoon shifts

• Prepare salads and plate desserts.
• Prepare dishes in a timely manner.
• Communicate with the hotline to ensure all plates come out together.
• Follow standardized recipes and maintain a sanitary kitchen area.
• Conform to standard kitchen safety protocols.
• Be able to follow recipes and be consistent.
• Have basic knife skills.

• Prepare and fry sides, entress, apps, and garnish
• Prepare dishes in a timely manner.

• Be able to follow recipes and be constant.
• Have basic knife skills.

Pay: $14.00 - $17.00 per hour
