A local plastics manufacturing company is seeking a Process Technician to join our team! Our Process Technicians are responsible for meeting our quality standards while maintaining production of our injection molded plastic parts.

Our ideal candidate for this position must have Process Technician experience in plastic injection molding environment.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot machinery in order to produce high quality parts to meet specifications.
• Responsible for timely changeover, set up of injection molds and work stations that meet the needs of our employees as well as our production goals.
• Have a full understanding of the injection molding process, plastics processing, machine maintenance, repair and set-up.
• Recommend changes for improved efficiency and make adjustments within process tolerances.
• Communicate and work with Shift Supervisor and Quality department on approval of parts.
• Maintain cleanliness of press. Wipe down control panels, doors, water/oil leak cleanup, removal of scrap parts, hoses, nuts, washers, etc. inside clamp area and robot cage. Make sure press area is clean before releasing to mold setters.
• Monitor process and work station information as presented in mold setup sheets and ensure accuracy and conformance to company standards.
• Knowledgeable on a wide array of resins.
• Ensure that quality and productivity goals are achieved.
• All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• 1 year's experience in a Plastics Process Technician role required
• 1 year previous experience in plastics injection molding required
• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work well in teams
• Ability to adapt quickly in a changing environment
• High focus and attention to detail at all times
• Possesses physical strength and stamina required to stand, walk, and lift for long periods of time.
• Must be able to lift/move objects that can weigh up to 50 lbs unassisted.
• Reliable mode of transportation.
• Adheres to all safety procedures and guidelines.
