Plumber Steamfitter Supervisor - Job at Virginia Nottoway Correctional Center
Performs and supervises repairs and maintenance services on buildings and grounds of a correctional facility, including electrical systems, plumbing and mechanical and related structural systems. Supervises and assigns work to offender crews and other related crews. Inspects building and grounds and provides preventative maintenance. Performs scheduled TMS work orders and documents work performed.
Minimum Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent. Valid driver’s license. Considerable knowledge of corrective maintenance, installation, repair, and preventive maintenance related to plumbing/steam-fitting and related equipment and systems. Demonstrated skill in use of power and hand tools necessary to perform tasks and repairs as needed. Demonstrated ability to interpret blueprints, schematics, and mechanical drawings. Ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing. Some computer experience.
Preferred Qualifications
Prefer supervisory experience. Prefer completion from vocational/technical school, completion of apprenticeship and/or sufficient OJT in trade activities. Prefer demonstrated knowledge of computer programs as related to maintenance operation (e.g. Preventative Maintenance Programs).
