Crippen Buick GMC Mazda Volvo, a family-owned automotive dealership and service center, currently has multiple openings for porter positions. Positions as a porter in our sales department, service/body shop department, and vehicle prep/detail department are available.

Responsibilities

Sales Department Porters

• Maintain the appearance and presentation of the inventory vehicles as well as the facilities
• Assist our sales managers in the operation of their department
• Inspecting and checking in fresh inventory shipped from the manufacturers, and stocking them into the inventory
• Assist sales staff with the preperation of sold vehicles for final delivery to the customer
• Take quality photos of fresh inventory and post to the internet with accurate descriptions
• Coordinate with service, body shop, detailers, and other reconditioning vendors to ensure timely movement of pre-owned vehicles through the reconditioning process
• Ferry vehicles to and from the dealship and customers or vendors
• Variety of as-needed duties as they arise

Service/Body Porters

• Receiving customer vehicles into our service lane, directing customers to the appropriate staff, and moving their vehicles to the appropriate area
• Ferrying customer vehicles to and from the dealership and customer homes, business, or vendor
• Assisting in maintaining the cleanlienss of our service shops, service lane, body shop, and associated facilities
• Maintaining the appearance of our loaner vehicles
• Various as needed duties as they arise

Prep/Detail Porters

• Cleaning and prepping vehicles for final delivery to the buyer
• Inspecting and checking in fresh inventory shipped from the manufacturers
• Preparing fresh pre-owned inventory and new inventory for lot presentation
• Maintenance and cleaning of workspace
• Light maintenace of property and facilities
• Various as needed duties as they arise

Qualifications

Ideal canidates will be:

• Timely
• Self-motivated
• Organized
• Able to follow detailed instructions and complete tasks without direct oversight
• Able to know the requirements and process assosciated with thier position and act on them without supervisor intervention
• Able to prioritize multiple tasks by importance and complete them within the allocated time
• Able to self regulate their time

Requirements:

Canidates will require:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Valid Drivers license with reasonably clean driving record
• Able to pass a background check
