Process Technician - up to $34 p/hr - 2nd Shift Job at Systematic Business Consulting
ALL SHIFTS AVAILABLE:
Shift Hours:
- 1st: 7am-3:30pm
- 2nd: 3pm – 11pm
- 3rd: 11pm – 7am
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the setup of and maintains production of injection molding machines, tooling, and processes as needed.
- Enhances the technical development of the processes.
- Assists in preventative maintenance and or repair on machines, injection molding screw assemblies, molds, and other auxiliary equipment.
- Collaborates with engineering to enhance and debug processes, tooling, and new products
- Assists in mold verification, sample process development, mold changes, and mold set-ups.
- Drives process improvements, i.e. set-up time reduction, scrap reduction, and increased throughputs.
- Regularly performs process troubleshooting on injection molding machines and auxiliary equipment.
- Verifies operations on the production floor are compliant with production schedule demands.
- Reviews set-up sheet & process parameters to ensure quality standards are upheld.
- May diagnose and correct problems during setup and throughout the production run.
- Consistently monitors performance of molds, machinery & auxiliary equipment.
- Authorizes full production once setup is complete and first piece approvals are validated.
- Executes process control checks to ensure the molding method is compliant to standards.
- Prepares Mold Repair Tags and drives initiatives to improve mold performance.
- Prepares Equipment Repair Tags and drives initiatives to improve mold performance.
- Assumes the responsibilities of the Foreman in their absence.
- May assist with material handling and mold setting.
- Additional responsibilities as assigned by manager.
Requirements:
- Associate's degree or equivalent from two-year College or technical school. Preferred
- 2-3 years of experience within the plastics industry is required
- Knowledge of general spreadsheet & database software.
- Injection molding experience preferred
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $28.00 - $34.00 per hour
