The IT Contract Specialist works to facilitate the contract process with the IT managers and the corporate contract department. Assists with sourcing and identification of authorized contract vehicles.

The IT Contract Specialist works under the Sr. Director, IT Contracts to facilitate the procurement process with the IT managers and the corporate Procurement Department. Assists with sourcing and identification of authorized contract vehicles. Ensures adherence to all policies and procedures governing submission of a request through the issuance of a PO. These tasks are completed in coordination with the Director of IT Procurement and Sr. Dir. of IT Contracts.

Duties/Responsibilities:
Acts as a liaison between IT managers, contract staff, and vendors
Works with requestors to develop scope of work (SOW) and timetable for contracts
Conducts research for vendor sourcing and contract vehicles
Coordinates bidding of requested IT goods and services including hardware, software, and professional services
Prepares procurement packages including vendor quotes, justification memos, and independent cost estimates (ICE)
Coordinates the review of proposed contracts with respect to Financial Terms, IP Rights, Indemnification, limits of liability, Risk Assessment, Warranties, Performance Criteria with Problem Resolution Processes, etc.
Enhances and maintains system to track contracts and status of IT procurements.
Measures and analyzes IT contract data; prepares reports on status and metrics
Meets regularly with IT groups
Coordinates ad hoc meetings with vendors and stakeholders as needed
Prepares presentations as needed
Performs other duties as assigned

Education and Experience
BA or BS degree in business or related field or related work experience
7+ years managing sourcing and IT contracts
Experience in IT contract negotiation
Public sector or IT-specific experience a plus

Required Skills/Abilities
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Strong quantitative and analytic skills
Knowledge of procurement processes
Ability to source products; research IT contracts, identify vendors; knowledge of IT products and vendors or government contracts a plus
Strong negotiating skills
Proficiency with Microsoft Office; i.e., Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Familiarity with ERP systems; Oracle experience a plus
Flexible, quick learner; ability to get things done in a large, complex environment
Results orientation; excellent time management; ability to meet deadlines
