JOB SUMMARY
The Product Marketing Specialist reports to the Product Marketing Manager and is responsible for aspects of multiple product lines including technical support, product development support, marketing, training, sales support, engineering requests, VOC support and other responsibilities.

The Product Marketing Specialist’s role includes strategic and tactical activities. All departments (i.e. Engineering, R&D, Sales, Service, Manufacturing) will support these strategic efforts; the Product Specialist does not support their tactical tasks.

DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES

Product Support:

• Provides technical expertise and support for Customer as well as Sales, Service and Customer Service staff
• Supports Stage-Gate deliverables and assists in strategic planning as well as tactical activities
• Continuously consults with marketplace to determine market requirements for current and future products by conducting market research supported by on-going visits to customers and non-customers
• Initiates engineering change requests based on customer needs, cost savings and/or potential issues to ensure product solutions address and meet customer needs
• Gains marketplace feedback and suggests improvements and changes to keep product lines in good market position
• Prepares bids in conjunction with sales team as needed
• Participates in trade show activities and makes presentations to prospective buyers and user groups as needed
• Produces accurate marketing literature based on internal changes and understanding compliance standards like ASTM and AASHTO

Training:

• Conducts product line training for new hires as necessary
• Travels to customer sites for remote training sessions
• Designs and creates PowerPoint files and handouts for training sessions and small group presentations
• Assists with production of videos for sales support and training
• Create and maintain online training for product lines

Education and Experience

• BS or BA in Construction Management, Engineering, or applicable science

OR

• 5 years Highway Construction Industry experience (required)

Pay: $65,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
