Nanogate - A Techniplas Company, is currently seeking an experienced candidate for the position of Production Manager in our Paint Department, 1st Shift. Come join our emerging plastics team and be a part of something great!
Education and Experience Requirements
- High School Diploma required or Associate’s Degree in any field preferred AND;
- 3 years of manufacturing manager experience required or 2 years plastic injection molding or automated painting experience preferred AND;
- Must possess demonstrated analytical capability; ability to work independently and as part of a team; excellent oral and electronic communication; ability to read, write, and speak English; intermediate level for enterprise resource planning software, and use of basic hand tools experience is required.
Primary Roles and Responsibilities
- Assist Supervisors with production priority scheduling based on available resources and maintain proper time and production records.
- Audit assets, supplies, tools, racks, and paint components for minimum quantities available and their proper storage locations.
- Ensure counts of raw materials consumed, parts produced, and scrap is accounted for during work hours and monthly cycle counts.
- Ensure optimum operation of the paint process and be the subject matter expert.
- Examines product to determine assurance to company and customer specifications.
- Interprets company policies, alerts, and communications to Employees and assists with solving work problems.
- Leads Department initiatives for continuous improvement in safety, quality, and productivity matters.
- Lead, implement, and audit the Paint 6S program including recycling processes.
- Mentor Trainees by orientating them to their tools, resources, and work areas and properly train them on processes.
- Perform to the expectation of achieving Paint Department key performance indicators.
- Requisitions material required to meet production goals for the Paint Department.
- Troubleshoot inventory issues and check production rates within the enterprise resource planning software often.
- Follow standard operating procedures to ensure proper quality of work and efficiency.
- Travel is not likely or 0%.
- Training needs are based on Techniplas’ ISO 14001 and IATF 16949 training matrix for this position.
- Other duties as assigned according to the job classification and additional work hours may be assigned.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $65,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
