Production Manager - Third Shift
Full-Time | Monday - Thursday**

Job Summary
We are seeking a resourceful, people-oriented, Production Manager who will lead our efforts to ensure efficient production of products through the Repack department. Actively managing the daily operations for Repack, you will work closely with multiple departments within Natural Choice Foods to ensure that our strategic and operational objectives are met.

A Sample of the Role

• Ensure all employees are properly trained and have a full understanding of the processes they are involved in, including meeting HACCP requirements.
• Monitor schedule adherence and routine production activities, serving as the first-line for troubleshooting support should problems arise.
• Ensures reliable and cost-effective performance and adheres to OSHA, USDA, and FDA regulations.
• Further develop and implement procedures that ensue production is safe, efficient and accurate while ensuring seamless changeovers.
• Ensures that Standard Operation Procedures are in place and maintained for all production related activities.
• Ensures on-time delivery by establishing priorities, monitoring progress and removing obstacles.
• Responsible for reporting production results as needed, including end of shift production summaries. Documents steps taken to resolve deficiencies.
• Provides technical guidance on sanitation, maintenance, and equipment within repack operations, shutdowns and startups.
• Responsible for coordinating employees and production support staff to ensure timely execution of production schedules and projects.
• Promote and champion continuous improvement activities to improve productivity, quality, the environment and meet health and safety goals.
• Responsible for coordinating equipment repairs, evaluating and implementing new equipment and techniques
• Responsible for attracting and maintaining high retention and performance of team members though effective hiring selection, coaching/development, effective onboarding and equitable accountability.
• Ensures that all employees follow ll safety and safe food handling procedures, including the proper use of all PPE.
• Maintains systems related to IT-based business-intelligence, inventory and resource planning tools, including but not limited to closing manufacturing orders, maintaining inventory accuracy, creating requests or tickets and reports
• Leads implantation of new methods, procedures, and systems to improve quality and food safety

• 5 years of progressive experience in production management
• Proven experience leading a highly motivated and high performing team
• Proven ability to identify and reduce or eliminate 7 wastes of Lean Manufacturing
• Proven agility and adaptability to adapt to internal and external changes and challenges
• Proven ability to creatively solve problems
• A highly analytical mind and numerical savviness with ability to read and interpret documents such as contracts and agreements
• Proven interpersonal (both written and verbal) skills to interact effectively and build trust with employees across the company
• Proven organizational and prioritization skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and computer-based applications
• Practical knowledge and experience of Lean Manufacturing Principles
