Hours: 7:30am-3:30 PM M-F
Pay: $16.00 - $17.00 per hour

JOB SUMMARY

Responsible for the facilitation of therapy in a variety of specific identified areas including the development and implementation of an individualized treatment plan, documentation of therapeutic experience via progress notes and communication with the partial team Consisting of Program Coordinator, Mental Health Professional, Program Director, Program Operations Manager, and to provide an atmosphere conducive to wellness.

JOB RELATIONSHIPS

Responsible to: The entire client community in the partial hospitalization counseling setting with emphasis on providing primary care. Directly supervised by the Program Coordinator and Program Director.

Interrelationships: Interacts ongoing with Program Coordinator, Mental Health Professional, Program Director, Psychiatrist, and other significant parties needed to enhance the clients’ rehabilitation experience.

RESPONSIBILITIES and AUTHORITIES

1. Develop and implement a treatment plan that addresses the needs of the patient with input from the patient, referral source, and Program Treatment Team. All goals/objectives are to be realistic, obtainable, and measurable.

2. Conduct individual counseling sessions with all patients admitted to the partial program on a regular basis.

3. Facilitate group therapy sessions focused on topics such as family, socialization skills, relationship development, self-worth, problem-solving, etc.

4. Assume primary care to youths assigned to case load.

5. Provide for the safety, security, and appropriate social interaction and social behavior of all youth in the program.

6. Facilitate on-going family sessions involving and maintain appropriate communication with significant others and agencies.

7. Present didactic education presentation to patient, community, and co-workers as delegated by a Program Coordinator.

8. Maintain professional documentation duties, i.e. Progress Notes, home journals, medication log, incident reports, progress notes, medication journal, treatment plan updating, and other responsibilities delegated by the Program Coordinator/Program Director.

9. Demonstrate a standard of conduct that provides effective role modeling for patient population and peer group.

10. Present accurate clinical information to referral sources, family members, and treatment team members.

11. Participate in updating the Treatment Plan every 20 days with the entire treatment team.

12. Plan and implement therapeutic, recreational, and educational activities daily.

13. Facilitate appropriate discipline through therapeutic intervention as needed.

14. Attend weekly staff meetings and prepare required case manager information to the treatment team.

15. Improve level of competence through participation in on-going supervision and attend on- and off-site training seminars.

16. Perform all other duties assigned by the Program Coordinator, Program Director or program Operations Manager.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education: Bachelor Degree or high school diploma with three (3) years experience in child care.

Experience and Training: Sufficient previous counseling experience, preferably with adolescents.

Job Knowledge: Comprehensive knowledge of BSI functions, clinical philosophy, and awareness of the partial hospitalization standards according to Department of Public Welfare regulations.
