Kidango, a private, not-for-profit child development agency is a Northern California Bay Area leader in early education. Providing quality care and education in 9 Bay Area cities to over 2,500 children daily and has an immediate opening for an energetic and loving teacher to join our team.
We are currently searching for a Program Compliance Coordinator in Fremont! The Program Compliance Coordinator is responsible for collecting and organizing records and regulatory requirements from all Kidango centers to ensure compliance with CA state, federal, ADA and city and fire code regulations. They will assist with licensing of new centers and re-licenses including setting up classroom environments to comply with CA state licensing and fire. They will also establish and maintain partner relationships at centers and provide support to education staff to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Intermediate to advanced competency of computer applications, including Adobe Acrobat, Microsoft Office, and Google Suite.
- Documents and maintains records of Kidango site visits/audits, provides support to education staff to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Assists with maintaining administrative licensing file for all centers.
- Assign inventory tags and keep record of equipment as required for State and federal requirements.
- Assists with licensing of new centers and re-license of existing centers following all State regulations and requirements.
- Assists with closures of sites/classrooms.
- Must have good organizational skills and proven ability to work within timelines to meet demands
- Establishes and maintains standards of efficiency for large site deliveries.
- Assists with maintaining and tracking agency vendors creating standardized order lists for Education department purchases that follow agency curriculum.
- Prepares specifications for bulk bids, obtains price quotations, and reviews bids.
- Maintain records and complete written reports as required for Federal and State reimbursement.
- Expedite submission of work orders for needed repairs at centers.
- Work as a member of the agency team by promoting the mission and philosophy of the organization.
- Attend meetings as requested.
- Maintain confidentiality of children, families and staff.
- Attends conferences as an agency representative.
- Participate in activities that contribute to own professional growth.
- All other duties as assigned
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:
- AA Degree or Higher
- Minimum of 2 years in experience in similar management position preferred.
- Maintain a valid CA Driver License and use of an insured vehicle
- Able to communicate with the public and represent the agency in a positive manner
- Able to organize and maintain records.
- Knowledgeable in regards to CA State Licensing, CA Fire and ADA codes preferred.
- Understand methods, practices and techniques of large quantity ordering.
- Working knowledge in budget planning, analysis and review.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products.
- Awareness of supplies procurement process including bids and specifications.
