The Security Project Developer is a key role in the Security Operations area and is responsible to review incoming job scopes and Bill of Materials (BOMs). Additional responsibilities include gathering necessary job information to assist technicians with the installation, including walking the site, procuring a drawing, taking pictures, collecting IP information, room names, and more. Ensure the equipment, labor, site conditions, and subcontract work are consistent with the scope of work and make necessary changes to complete the installation. This person would be working with project managers to make sure of job priorities, timelines, changes, and knowledge transfer.
Essential Functions

  • Reviewing Job Scopes and Estimated BOMs.
  • Gathering necessary job information and documentation to review the job.
  • Walking job sites to verify scopes and BOMs match the field conditions, making cost-effective and necessary changes when needed.
  • Working with Project Managers to establish job priorities, timelines, changes, and knowledge transfer.
  • Verify Cables, pathways, panels, equipment, and field conditions.
  • Revising the estimated BOM.
  • Provide excellent customer service through respectful communication, a caring attitude, and ensuring customer satisfaction and customer retention.
  • Complete and manage documentation for projects including but not limited to drawings, pictures, IP information, and notes.
  • When done reviewing the job, create a pack of documents that can be used to understand how to complete the installation of a job correctly.
  • Work closely with PMs and technicians to ensure customer commitments are met on time and in an organized efficient manner.
  • Adhere to CM3 Building Solutions policies including time and attendance, safety, dress codes, reporting, etc.
  • Reviews system designs, site configurations, and installation schedules to ensure project goals will be achieved.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Work Environment
This position operates in the office as well as in the field at customer sites. This may include dust, noise, heat, limited light, and other elements associated with servicing/installation of physical security & fire equipment. Equipment such as access control panels, cameras, intercom systems, fire panels, devices, etc.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, kneel, crouch, bend, climb, read, count, type, and write to accurately complete all documentation. This job may also require the use of electronic equipment, machines and hand tools necessary for access control systems, video surveillance, intrusion systems, and public address system; may require climbing and standing on ladders as well as carrying boxes of equipment in excess of 35 lbs.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time, exempt (salaried) position.
Travel
Travel to customer sites and the company office as needed.
Required Education and Experience

  • Minimum of 3 years prior experience in Security projects.
  • 2-year degree in related electrical field
  • Advanced knowledge of access controls, low voltage, and security cameras
  • Ability to read building blueprints
  • Advanced computer skills including Excel, Word, Outlook, PP and MS Project
  • Action oriented and driven
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work with co-workers of all levels of the organization in a respectful manner.
  • Work independently with minimal supervision
  • Customer service focused.
  • Manage responsibilities with a sense of urgency and professionalism.

Additional Eligibility Qualifications
Individual must possess a valid driver’s license in good standing.
Work Authorization/Security Clearance (if applicable)

  • Criminal Background Check, PA Child Welfare clearance, and FBI fingerprinting clearance required
  • DMV check
  • Pre-employment drug screening
