Role: Project Engineer

Location: Georgetown, KY

Duration: 12 Months

· Description:

· Travel: 30% Within North America (Mainly within US although Canada and Mexico are possible. Japan travel is also possible).

· (30% travel to other sites in USA, Canada, Mexico or Japan and locally at vendor sites)

· Travel expenses will be reimbursed/paid.

· Regular Hours- first 8 am to 5 pm

· OT (30%)- During the week however it is project specific which could require working during the weekend. – 8 hours and an additional hours in a week for first 6 months. Extended weekdays and more weekend work when required

· Candidate would be responsible for procurement and designing specifications of machines, robots and other similar equipment used for Body PE

· Managing and working with vendors to get the correct quality and spec machines

· Need someone with experience using Catia, AutoCAD, C3 or another 3D design tool – AutoCAD is a requirement, Catia and C3 – preferred. Ok with other comparable software.

· 2-5 years of experience in Manufacturing or Automotive

· Interviews: 1 round – 50 minutes, 2nd round if needed.

· 100% onsite

Travel questions:

· Will it be for meetings/observation?

Ans: Both observation and hands-on work.

· How soon after the offer will they be required to travel?

Ans: There is no specific schedule for travel at this time. However, periodic support at NAMCs is required as well as future unreleased project work.

· Reminder if travel is more than 3 months at a time Dispatch can be used, all other travel should follow the Toyota CW Travel Expense Policy.

Ans: No plans for dispatch. All travel will be treated as standard business travel.

· Please provide us any additional details we need to be aware of for travel purposes: Ans: Member needs to either possess a passport or at least be eligible for one.

Duties include:

Process Planning; Quality Specifications; Machine Specifications; Machine/Equipment Procurement; Installation/Trial Management ; Quality Analysis, Adjustment, and Improvement; Project Management; Schedule Control; Budget Control/Cost Reduction; Manufacturing Support/Process Tracking. Ability to work weekends, holidays, and off shifts as typical work is conducted on nonproduction times (high OT position). Willing to support Business Travel as required, including short-term or long-term, Travel expenses provided.

Requirements:

Required Skills

BS in Mechanical Engineering or Equivalent

Proficient Computer Skills: MS Office, CAD packages (AutoCAD, Catia, C3)

Manufacturing/processing experience

Additional Desired Qualifications: Toyota Body shop Engineering Experience. New Model Introduction experience. Up to 5 years Automotive/Manufacturing Engineering Experience.
