Joining Ramboll

As our new Project Scheduler, you will support our industrial engineering, EPC and EPCM projects. The candidate would ideally be located locally to our Atlanta, GA project management office or our Charlotte, NC engineering office. However, remote working locations will be strongly considered as our project portfolio is national. This position will work within our Project Services Group to support engineers, project managers, construction managers, and other project team members. Work will include development and maintenance of schedules and other documents/tools necessary to support effective execution of design and construction of our project portfolio. The candidate should possess strong organizational skills, the ability to handle multiple assignments concurrently, have the willingness to learn and grow at a fast pace, and desire to work in the industrial engineering and construction fields.

  • Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering discipline or Construction Management, plus 5-10 relevant years of experience, or an associate degree in Applied Science plus 10+ years of experience, or 15+ years of engineering or construction experience.
  • Strong organizational and data management skills.
  • Ability to read construction drawings and specifications.
  • Understanding of the basics of the engineering/design and construction process.
  • Limited travel will be required.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Open mindedness and willingness to learn.
  • Motivated, hard-working, and desire to succeed.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Knowledge and familiarity with project scheduling and estimating.
  • Understanding of scheduling software (Primavera P6/Microsoft Project) is highly recommended.
  • Understanding of estimating software (Sage Estimating / Timberline) is a plus.
  • Certification(s) from AACE (PSP, CEP, other) is a plus.


Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Develop, update, and review project schedules from concept funding phases, through detail design and construction execution.
  • Develop schedule execution plans
  • Serve as an internal and external client interface for schedule implementation and updates.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of scheduling training for other schedulers, engineers and project managers.
  • Create and maintain tools to assist the scheduling functions.
  • Assist in the management of large, complex, and at-risk engineering and constructions projects.
  • Establish relationships with external project team members such as subcontractors, vendors and clients.
  • Collaboration with Project Managers/Project Officers for progress and earned value updates on projects.
