The OPH Bureau of Health Informatics (BHI) is the primary health statistics, health systems analytic, and policy research resource for the department and the state. BHI's responsibilities are to enhance data and analytic capacities, leverage OPH data and analytic capacities in collaboration with other organizations (public and private), provide recommendations for policy strategies that are data-driven and proactive, and expand publicly-available information on healthcare quality, cost, and health outcomes.
This position is assigned to BHI and the Vital Records Statistics Team within the Office of Public Health and reports directly to the Public Health Epidemiologist Supervisor. The Public Health Epidemiologist is responsible for the processing of data requests, reporting and coordination of efforts regarding data, including but not limited to Vital Records data.
General duties: Constructs, updates and maintains birth, death, infant death, maternal death, marriage, and divorce/annulment data for the purposes of any publication or dissemination of data, including but not limited to dashboards and Internet websites: assists in the analysis of data and the epidemiologic interpretation of results; drafts, proofs, and builds charts and graphs for reports and manuscripts published by DHH; collaborates in coordinating the dissemination of OPH BI products.

Pay: $3,737.00 - $6,549.00 per month
