Quality Auditor - 2nd or 3rd Shift Job at Nemak

Position Title: Quality Auditor

Department: Quality

Reports to: Quality Supervisor

Major Function:

The Quality Auditor is responsible for auditing the quality of machine and finished stock as well as the output of each step of the process and finished Parts. This includes checking parts at the line, clean room, Quality Lab, stock in the finishing process, finished stock including specified devices and gauges in place to assure the process output meets requirements. The Quality Auditor is responsible for completing their audit paperwork as well as collecting and tabulating the results of the quality process audits, quality notification system, layered process audits and preparing graphics for reporting to management as needed. This individual is responsible for timely tabulation and accuracy of reporting data. Notification to Ops Leadership on parts that do not meet spec and support with containment of parts. Must possess high level of safety awareness and comply with all the safety rules and regulations. Perform all tasks requested by the Supervisor and/or other management personnel.

Specific Responsibilities:

  • Completing daily audits and update all associated tracking data and report documents involve inspecting product’s appearance, conducting tests with gages and testing instruments
  • Perform clean checks on machine parts, RTV adhesion test
  • Receiving Inspection on assembly components
  • Perform checks on CMM and read data reports
  • Verifying that finished products are in compliance with labeling

Preferred Knowledge and Abilities:

Excellent vision and ability to differentiate between defect per Visual Standards & Boundary Samples

Experience writing detailed notes

Excellent math skills

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Ability to stay calm when working under pressure

Ability to organize and conduct audits

Ability to work overtime and weekends, as needed and in short notice

Excellent collaboration skills

Ability to prioritize work and multi-task

Minimum requirements (experience, background, education):

1. High School Diploma or GED

2. Knowledge of departmental work instructions

3. Ability to work in a manufacturing environment

4. Ability to lift up to 30lbs.

5. Essential functions of the position require candidate to work 40 hours per week or as directed by leadership.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $19.10 - $19.70 per hour
