Located in Fernley, NV
This position's scheduled hours are 5:00am-3:30pm Wednesday - Saturday
PRIMARY FUNCTION:
The Quality Auditor supports all activities of the Quality Assurance Department by performing first article inspections, line audits and other test(s) requirements required by DNA, customers and other outside laboratories. Performs profile measurements using calipers, Promex Scanner and gages. Compiles and evaluates statistical data to determine and maintain quality and reliability of products.

- Follows all Safety Regulations.
- Follows procedures for test methods and test equipment.
- Read and understand blueprints
- Performs inspections on product and quality inspection equipment to insure conformance to specifications during design, process and calibration phases.
- Ability to be trained on use of Promex Scanner.
- Communicates respectfully with managers, production supervisors, production leads and operators in an effort to assure product quality.
- Perform first article inspections, including but not limited to color checks, impact, heat/shrink tests, visual inspections and gage measurements.
- When necessary performs Gage R&R studies to ensure test methods and equipment are adequate.
- Reads and understands control charts, histograms and various graphs and charts for analysis and can communicate results.
- Administer calibration program for all assigned measurement equipment including instruments used to measure or control a process.
- Administer quality control program on incoming and outgoing goods. Communicate inspection results to affected supplier/vendor and/or customer.
Education and/or Experience
- Must be able to use calipers and tape measure.
- Must have basic computer skills including but not limited to Outlook, basic data entry into excel spreadsheets etc.
- Must be able to read blueprints
- One to two years related experience and/or training in quality related field preferred but not required
