Job Description
:
The Quality Engineer reviews, analyzes and reports on quality discrepancies. They will be responsible for investigating problems and developing dispositions and corrective actions for recurring discrepancies. The Quality Engineer will report directly to the Quality Manager.
Responsibilities
:
- Support and follow the Company Safety Programs
- Support and follow Quality & Environmental Programs
- Works closely with manufacturing, engineering and customers for corrective actions
- Performs quality reviews for compliance with stated customer requirements, specifications, and quality records
- Provide program support as required by program management
- Participate in program management reviews
- Recommend solutions to non-conforming material through designated channels
- Analyze, compile, review and regularly report customer quality metrics such as PPM/Okm performance
- Ensure appropriate and timely communications of CIP (Continuous Improvement Process) programs to the customer. Support effective and appropriate change management, in accordance with agreed upon customer requirements
- Ensure information flow related to customer returns to appropriately address design, manufacturing, packaging and logistics causes
- Complete other projects and activities as assigned by Customer Quality
Preferred Qualifications
:
- High School diploma or GED
- Relevant degree such as a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Technical, Electrical, Education, Management, Associates, Science, Manufacturing, Mechanical Engineering, Electronics
- Licensing certifications for Customer Quality Engineer
- Experience in the automobile industry
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds unassisted
