Quality Inspector – Job Description

Horn Lake, MS (1st shift) 8:00-4:30

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Outline quality assurance policies and procedures
  • Interpret and comply with Titan quality assurance standards
  • Make sure that quality assurance standards are precise
  • Elaborate the procedures of sampling and guidelines for collection and reporting quality data
  • Oversee the implementation and ensure efficiency of inspection and quality procedures
  • Plan, perform, and oversee inspection and testing of products to ensure the quality of items
  • Document quality assurance activities, such as internal audits
  • Perform new product First Article Inspection and mature product audit as scheduled
  • Analyze customer returns and other non-conforming issues
  • Gather and organize statistical quality and time data for rework of goods
  • Elaborate, recommend, and oversee improvement actions
  • Report on results of quality activities such as reassembly and testing
  • Detect coaching needs and take actions in accordance with these needs to ensure compliance with quality standards for new Titan employees
  • Conduct on-site put away location audits
  • Analyze audit outcomes and carry out appropriate corrective and preventative procedures
  • Oversee risk management procedures
  • Ensure ongoing abidance by Titan regulatory and quality requirements
  • Drive Titan packaging manuals and guidelines across all levels

Required and Preferred Skills and Experience:

  • Proven work experience in a warehouse or equivalent work setting
  • Highly effective communication skills and techniques
  • Knowledge of warehouse management software and MS office Proficiency
  • Proper WMS inventory methods and practices
  • Time Management skills
  • Very High Attention to Detail
  • High degree of Mechanical comprehension
  • Knowledge of QA terms and methodologies
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints
  • Knowledge of the metric system
  • Understanding fine measuring equipment and calibration

Physical Demands:

  • Work is performed while standing, sitting, and/or walking.
  • Requires the ability to communicate effectively using speech, vision, and hearing.
  • Requires the use of hands for simple grasping and fine manipulations.
  • Requires the ability to lift, carry, push, or pull items, up to 75 pounds
