About us:
At Atidaynu - Our Future School, our aim is to assist children with autism in overcoming their social and behavioral challenges by providing them with the necessary life skills to navigate through life. Our curriculum is tailored to meet the unique needs of each student and includes direct social skills intervention, intensive language lessons, and academic instruction. We integrate an ABA approach and provide a structured classroom environment to ensure that students with autism receive the maximum benefits from our program.
Responsibilities:
- You will plan, teach, and evaluate instructions for students in reading or writing.
- You will work in a small group and classroom setting.
- All staff (teachers, paraprofessionals, and providers) are trained in Discrete Trial Training (DTT), data collection, program design, social skills training, and positive behavior management. All staff attend annual training about autism spectrum disorder.
Qualifications:
- Associates, Bachelors, Masters degree in Special Education, Speech, Communication, or Literacy.
- Experience in a variety of reading curriculums, reading techniques, and have experience teaching children with special needs.
- We are looking for a specialist with training in Orton Gillingham, Fountas and Pinnel, Visualizing and Verbalizing by Nanci Bell, and Sounds in Motion programs.
We take an ABA (Applied Behavioral Analysis) approach with our students. Please let us know in your application if you have any experience with ABA and working with children or adults with ASD.
Schedule:
- Monday- Thursday from 8:30 AM - 4:00 PM and Friday from 8:30 AM -1:00 PM
- In addition to our regular hours, we also offer an after-school program until 5:00pm (optional)
- We offer a summer program (optional)
- Full-time or part-time positions available
This position is great for someone who likes to stay in a one working place year-round as well as for summer. We recognize the struggle of finding a summer job, although we have a short break in the summer, allowing you to recharge and prepare for the upcoming academic year.

Pay: $25.00 - $70.00 per hour
