Real Estate Accountant Job at Richards Building Supplies
We are currently seeking to add a Real Estate Accountant to our Accounting team. This is the perfect opportunity for someone who has a passion for accounting, is detail orientated, and thrives while working both independently and in a team environment.
The Real Estate Accountant role will require a combination of technical expertise, analytical capabilities, and keen business acumen in order to succeed.
Responsibilities Include:
- Prepare and deliver monthly financial reporting package for each assigned property
- Maintain accounting records for real estate entities
- Prepare monthly rent statements
- Prepare Real Estate accruals and payment schedules
- Reconcile CIP reporting and prepare entries as needed
- Work closely with Real Estate Senior Executives
- Maintain debt schedule and reconcile to corporate financials
- Prepare workpapers for audit support and year-end tax filings
- Prepare journal entries related to acquisitions, dispositions, and financing
- Reconcile bank accounts for all LLC’s
- Maintain fixed asset database and prepare depreciation journal entries
Experience and Skills:
- Acute attention to detail
- 2-3 years’ experience
- Excellent interpersonal and highly effective communication skills
- High performance team building and strong team player
- Adaptable, flexible, and receptive to change
- Ability to read, write and understand English
- Strong organizational skills demonstrating ability to follow through with project initiative in an efficient and timely manner
- Proficiency in Excel
