POSITION SUMMARY:
Attracting and recruiting the best possible talent is a key function at Pepsi-Cola of Central Virginia. This mission-critical role is responsible for developing and implementing critical Human Resources incentives that recruit talented Team Members and successfully onboard and continues to engage and build our Team Members in support of personal and organizational growth. Instrumental in developing programs that will elevate PCVA as an employer of choice. Performs routine duties associated with the implementation, and administration of Human Resource policies and procedures to ensure compliance, and its fair application to all employees.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Recruiter Duties:
· Develops, facilitates, and implements all phases of the recruitment process.
· Collaborates with hiring managers to identify and draft detailed and accurate job descriptions and hiring criteria.
· Identifies and implements efficient and effective recruiting methods and strategies based on the available role, industry standards, and the company's needs.
· Responsible for developing a strong candidate pool for job openings via the company’s career page, social media, job boards, career fairs, community involvement, internal postings, etc.
· Manages job postings and placement processes.
· Assist hiring managers in screening potential candidates, conducting phone interviews, checking references, selecting qualified candidates, etc., as needed.
· Develops and oversees the interview process, including standard interview questions, job offer documentation and process and candidate follow-up.
· Assists with the interview process, attending and conducting interviews with hiring managers as needed.
· Collaborates with the hiring manager during the offer process, identifying and recommending salary ranges, incentives, start dates, and other pertinent details.
· Conduct pre-employment background checks and follow up with drug tests.
· Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws, regulations, and company policies.
· Create recruitment campaigns to ensure access to the highest level of candidates available by utilizing a variety of sourcing channels, including social media and professional platforms and development of cohesive recruiting materials.
· Set up, attend and participate in recruitment events, including hosting/attending job fairs and community relations events at local colleges, training centers, and schools.
· Develop relationships with community groups, including workforce placement groups, VEC, economic development officials, colleges, interest groups, etc.
· Provide training sessions for supervisors regarding best practices in recruiting and interviewing.
· Collaborate with hiring managers on future hiring needs.
HR Generalist Duties:
· Assists in the implementation, and administration of Human Resource policies and procedures to ensure compliance, and its fair application to all employees
· Assist in the development, implementation and communication of company policies and procedures
· Utilize HR metrics and people data to drive solutions
· Maintains tracking systems and submits reports of human resources statistics, to include new hires, applicant flow logs, terminations reasons and exit interviews information
· Assist with analyzing employee issues and in making recommendations
· Serve as back up the weekly payroll processing
· Conducts exit interviews to determine reasons behind separations; partners with supervisors and managers to make improvements based upon feedback
· Administers the company educational reimbursement policy
· Oversees the gym dues reimbursement policy
· Provides requested reports to the management team
· Ensures compliance with employment laws/state codes, and poster requirements
· Assist with interpreting, updating and writing policies and procedures
· Assist with facilitation of various trainings and communications
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Associates or bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in Human Resources required, manufacturing environment preferred
- Certification (HRCI or SHRM) is preferred but not required
- Comprehensive knowledge of HR principles and practices
- Demonstrated knowledge of all pertinent federal and state regulations, filing and compliance requirements, both adopted and pending, affecting employee benefits programs, including the ACA, ERISA, COBRA, FMLA, FLSA, ADA, HIPAA Section 125, Medicare, and Social Security and DOL requirements.
- Proven success as a recruiter
- Experience with UKG Ready, Sage HRMS is a plus
- Demonstrated experience in payroll process
- Highly ethical
- Ability to maintain a high degree of professionalism, confidentiality and discretion
- Proven ability to provide exceptional customer service with internal and external contacts
- Effective public speaking and presentation skills
- Professional communication skills, both orally and in writing, that enables collaboration, and building relationships with various levels and diverse backgrounds.
- Ability to collect and analyze data and articulate sound and reliable conclusions.
- Utilizes a consultative approach when working with supervisors and staff
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at a time.
