The Position:
Neelands is searching for a Refrigeration Construction Foreman to join our team at the Georgia location. This position is regular, full-time. Reporting to the Georgia Manager, the Refrigeration Construction Foreman will work closely with fellow install crew members in the field installing refrigeration and cold storage box equipment. Hours of work will vary by project and may include weekend and night shifts.

Responsibilities:

• Lead construction and installation personnel with projects
• Follow plans to install new systems and modify existing systems
• Foresee issues ahead of time and plan accordingly
• Teach and train apprentices proper installation practices
• Ensure the necessary materials required for the project are on hand and readily available
• Provide own tools for the trade; torches, vacuum pumps & refrigerant recovery units will be provided
• Work with the crew with setting cases, piping, and installing, etc.
• Assist with organizing and clean up
• Other duties as assigned including working with other departments

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED
• Excellent communication skills (read/write/speak)
• Trade school diploma is an asset
• Ability to use hand and power tools
• Minimum 2 years industry experience (refrigeration/plumbing)
• Strong mechanical aptitude is an asset
• 1-2 years’ experience with service calls or troubleshooting is considered an asset
• Brazing experiences an asset
• Valid driver’s license
• Must be able to travel within Florida with overnight stays
