IMC is currently hiring a Lead Registrar, who supports the department as eh trainer of all new staff as well as a resource person for all employees in the Registration Department. Responsible for the departmental QA process and calculating all PI indicators. The Lead Registrar is a role model in the department, demonstrating professionalism accuracy and excellent work habits May reprimand or give punishments as needed for poor behavior of Registration employees while keeping the department supervised as needed. Serves as departmental supervisor in the absence of the Registration Supervisor.
EDUCATION
- High School Diploma
QUALIFICATIONS
- Must have in-dept. knowledge of all Federal, State and local regulations that impact Registration process.
- Must be creative and multi-task.
- Must be able to make decisions using a combination of deductive reasoning, math and hospital policies and procedures.
- Thorough knowledge of the hospital’s Registration computer system, departmental processes/procedures, and payroll system is essential.
EXPERIENCE
- Must have experience in hospital registration
PRINCIPLE TASKS/RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES
- Scheduling staff for Outpatient and ER Registration 24/7.
- Assists Registration Supervisor with hiring of staff.
- Oversees training of all new hires in various areas of the department including switchboard.
- Work with Business Office to keep updated on insurance changes, corrections etc. related to the QA process.
- Keep the Registration Supervisor and/or PFS Assistant Manager informed of any Registration issues.
- Oversees the report processes for MSP Audit, Cash Collections, P2 report (report of patients stating they will bring in cards), assist in training all employees on new processes as needed, Order supplies for the department as needed, unchecked reports, move update report and any additional reporting requested by Registration Supervisor or PFS Asst. Manager.
