Job description

Performs maintenance and alteration tasks on civil aviation articles in accordance with the current technical data provided in the manufacturers' instructions for continued airworthiness, Service Bulletins, service letters, Airworthiness Directives, government and industry standard practices, and other data acceptable to or approved by the FAA. Inspector(s) are responsible for performing preliminary, hidden-damage, in-process and final inspections on civil aviation articles in accordance with the current technical data provided in the manufacturers' instructions for continued airworthiness, Service Bulletins, service letters, Airworthiness Directives, government and industry standard practices, and other data acceptable to or approved by the FAA.

Performs maintenance, repair and alteration tasks on manufactured products in accordance with approved documentation
Utilizes assembly tools, equipment, and mechanical and visual aids applicable to the scope of work assigned
Understands the methods, techniques and practices outlined in the manufacturer's maintenance documents, Airworthiness Directives, Service Bulletins, service letters, specifications, and other data acceptable to or approved by the FAA.
Applies and handles sealants and adhesives
Keeps assigned areas organized and clean
Performs other duties as assigned
Participates in FAA Drug and Alcohol Program.

Annual Salary: USD 32,240-56,430

Job requirements

Education and Experience: High School Diploma or experience/knowledge as determined by management.

1. Must possess basic math skills and be able to comprehend varying units of measure
2. Ability to organize and prioritize multiple tasks, and take initiative
3. Basic understanding of manufacturing processes
4. Ability to read, comprehend written and process specification documents
5. Computer skills to access CMM's, drawings, etc.
6. Specific FAA required training

Physical Requirements:
a. Ability to lift about 55 pounds
b. Employee is regularly required to use hands and fingers to handle objects, tools, or operate controls and reach with hands and arms.
c. Ability to walk throughout the facility
d. Ability to sit for prolonged periods of time
e. As with all positions, employee will perform necessary housekeeping duties in order to maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
