- Monitors and Teaches patients about medications including adequate pain control.
- Prepares and administers chemotherapeutic agents according to safety standards.
- Initiates and implements an individualized nursing care plan in collaboration with physicians, nurses and ancillary personnel
- Assesses progress, identifies problems, initiate preventive measures and recognizes emergent problems, initiate proper care in collaboration with physicians.
- Initiates appropriate diagnostic, therapeutic, medical and nursing actions in conjunction with physicians.
- Recognize normal and abnormal laboratory findings and the pathology involved.
- Assist Physicians with in office procedures, such as Lumbar Punctures, Bone Marrow Biopsies and Intrathecal Drug Administration.
- Serve as a resource and educator and distribute appropriate teaching material to patients and their families.
- Telephone prescriptions and refills to pharmacies in accordance with PHOA procedures, under MD Supervision.
- Maintaining and updating patient records and flow sheets.
- Assist patients and families in counseling and support of their care.
- Attends Clinical and Office Staff meetings to coordinate patient care with staff physicians.
Accepts and performs other related duties and responsibilities as assigned
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $60.00 - $65.00 per hour
