Headquartered in Houston, Texas, Sharps Compliance/Curtis Bay Medical Waste Services is a leading business-to-business services provider to the healthcare, long-term care, and retail pharmacy markets with operations across the country. Sharps Compliance offers comprehensive solutions for the management of regulated medical waste, hazardous waste, and unused medications.
We are looking for a full-time Route Service Driver for Lancaster, PA and surrounding areas.
Duties:
- Safely operate a box truck for the collection, transportation, and delivery of Regulated Medical Waste.
- Drive a truck along an established route and service an existing customer base.
- It is a physical, fast-paced, indoor/outdoor position in which the driver delivers and picks up Regulated Medical Waste.
- Drivers are the face of Sharps/Curtis Bay Medical Waste to our customers and must work to build rapport with key decision makers, ensure quality standards, and pro-actively solve customer concerns.
- Ensures that assigned paperwork is completed legibly, neatly, accurately, and completely and returned to Transportation Supervisor or Dispatcher for processing. Ensures DOT Driver Log is completed, if applicable.
- May prepare and load trucks to service select accounts for the day ensuring enough supplies are added.
Qualifications
- Must be at least 25 years of age for box truck operation.
- Two (2) years commercial vehicle experience within the last five (5) years
- Clean driving record, including: no DUIs/DWIs in the past five (5) years; no preventable DOT recordable accident involving a fatality; no more than one preventable accident within the last twelve months and no more than two preventable accidents within the last twenty-four months; no license suspensions in the last twelve months; maximum of two moving violation convictions within the past three years.
- Must have Box Truck Experience
- Covid Vaccine Preferred
