Who are you?
You are a detailed individual, passionate about safety, and making smart calls. Taking on the responsibility of looking over our drivers' trucks and trailers excites you. You care about people and as a result, will do everything necessary to make sure our drivers are safe on the road; moreover, you will consider other drivers on the road who are next to our world-class team of drivers. No detail gets passed you and you pride yourself on being reliable.
What will you be doing?
- Inspect our drivers’ trucks and trailers for any safety concerns.
- Checking load securement to ensure safety.
- Completing small repairs (e.g. lighting issues, wipers, etc.) in the safety lane.
- Reporting higher severity issues to the Service Advisor.
- Maintaining a safe & organized environment.
- Load & Unload trailers per customer deliveries.
- Communication with the Operations department to ensure proper understanding of loads entering/leaving.
What skills you bring to the table
- Phenomenal attention to detail & organizational skills.
- Excellent communication skills.
- A background in safety, mechanics, or a strong desire to grow and learn.
- The ability to work in inclement weather.
- Lift and carry up to 75 pounds.
What your background looks like
- High School Diploma or GED, required.
- Background in Safety or Mechanics preferred, not required.
- Prior forklift experience preferred, not required.
- CDL Class A preferred, not required.
