ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Responsible for safety within the Central Indiana Region
• Job/ Plant/ Pit/ Site safety inspections
• Supervising incident prevention programs
• OSHA/MSHA/DOT/ FIRST AID - CPR safety training
• Construction/Pedestrian traffic control
• Assist with investigating accidents/incidents/ root cause analysis
• Record keeping of safety activities
• Communication with job site Supervisors
• Work with Local, Federal, and State agencies such as MSHA, OSHA and DOT

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree in Safety or similar experience is not necessary but welcomed
• Overnight travel and flexibility to travel with little to no notice is required
• Must have good organization and speaking skills
• Adaptable and able to thrive in a fast paced, high-pressure environment
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office essential
• Team-oriented personality
• Problem solving skills with attention to detail
• Self-motivated; ability to work independently when necessary
• Good written and verbal communication skills
