ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Responsible for safety within the Central Indiana Region
- Job/ Plant/ Pit/ Site safety inspections
- Supervising incident prevention programs
- OSHA/MSHA/DOT/ FIRST AID - CPR safety training
- Construction/Pedestrian traffic control
- Assist with investigating accidents/incidents/ root cause analysis
- Record keeping of safety activities
- Communication with job site Supervisors
- Work with Local, Federal, and State agencies such as MSHA, OSHA and DOT
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in Safety or similar experience is not necessary but welcomed
- Overnight travel and flexibility to travel with little to no notice is required
- Must have good organization and speaking skills
- Adaptable and able to thrive in a fast paced, high-pressure environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office essential
- Team-oriented personality
- Problem solving skills with attention to detail
- Self-motivated; ability to work independently when necessary
- Good written and verbal communication skills
