Mt Baker Products, established in 1949, has a proud national reputation for custom quality decorative plywood. Our responsibly produced panels are used for architectural grade interior design and furniture in homes and commercial projects across the country.
We are pleased to announce a career opportunity at our location on the waterfront in Bellingham, Washington. The Sales and Administrative Assistant will perform a variety of administrative and clerical tasks, including providing support to our managers and employees, assisting in daily office needs, and managing our company’s general administrative activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Answer and direct phone calls
- Assist in the preparation of daily production reports
- Process invoices and communicate with customers
- Assist in data entry of sales orders
- Assist purchasing department with reports
- Develop and maintain a filing system
- Update and maintain office policies and procedures
- Order office supplies and research new deals and suppliers
- Maintain customer contact lists
- Provide general support to visitors
- Act as a point of contact for internal and external clients.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma/GED; prior experience as an administrative assistant or office manager is desired.
- Proficiency in MS Office (MS Outlook, Word, and Excel, in particular)
- Working knowledge of office equipment, like printers and fax machines
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize work
- Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team
- Ability to accept new assignments and special projects.

Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour
