Sales Representative Job at WestRock
As a Sales Representative, your role, is to successfully manage existing customer accounts and establish new opportunities to achieve annual sales objectives. Additional responsibilities include efficiently managing current customer relationships, prospecting, and engaging new customers, partnering with management to complete budget planning, and supporting cross-functional teams to ensure sales strategy execution.

How you will impact WestRock
- Thoroughly understand the industry and target customers to qualify opportunities in alignment with WestRock sales strategy
- Develop and maintain thorough knowledge of WestRock products and pricing structure to resolve inquiries and issues with customer accounts
- Effectively articulate sales vision and strategy to identify leads on new opportunities, manage prospects and develop a robust sales pipeline
- Develop and execute account strategies for new and existing customers to create a customized experience for customers
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify value add opportunities to improve margins
- Manage customer engagement through the sales lifecycle to ensure contractual obligations are met and to enable customer satisfaction
- Seek and qualify prospective customers in accordance with Sales strategy
- 2 - 3 years of experience interfacing with customers in a sales related field environment
- Knowledge of the Des Moines, IA market and surrounding area
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Finance, or related field preferred
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently and in teams
- Strategic and analytical thinker with tactical focus
- Excellent communication, time management, organization, perseverance, and action-oriented mindset with a self-motivated drive to achieve profitable results
- Great communication and flexibility to adjust for different audiences
- Business acumen, having knowledge of various areas of business
- Experience with MS Office: Word, Excel & PowerPoint & Salesforce.com or relevant software
- Ability to travel overnight in and out of selling area and state for meetings as required
- Excellent teamwork with internal customers, (Production, Customer Service, & Mgmt.)
