Sales Support Specialist Job at SI Group, Inc.
The Role:
The Sales Support Specialist will liaise between the commercial team and the business unit Director to effectively communicate and maintain a smooth sales process from point of sales to delivery. Captivating the customer along the way with continuous support to the key account managers through the entire sales cycle. Strong communication skills, prioritization and organization management would be a key to success in this role.
How You Will Make an Impact:
- Manage price exceptions, changes, and increases in Salesforce and SAP.
- Maintain sales data in internal systems (new customer set up, new products, new bill to/ship to).
- Monitor the sales and performance of the commercial team. Capturing and reporting results as needed.
- Help communicate and submit documentation to customers like TDS, MSDS, product specs, ISO-certificates and initiate sample requests with our plants and third-party sampling centers.
- Follow up with Regulatory to assure timely communication to customers.
- Cross-functional communication to ensure timely order management, accounts receivables updates, samples requests and a variety commercial request.
- Coordinate answers to customer questionnaires (involving several departments, or regulatory, customer/supplier set-up…).
- Communicate with logistics to check discrepancies, coordinate freight costs in contracts/ price lists.
- Manage communications (by email) to customers (i.e. plant shutdown notices, campaigning of batches, technical changes, changes in shipping procedures, discontinued products and classification changes, environmental changes).
- Help facilitate interface with resupply/planning.
- Provide general administrative support to the sales team.
Creating Extraordinary Starts With:**

- Associates or Bachelor's Degree in Business or demonstrated equivalency
- Two or more years in business support or equivalent
- Strong Excel skills preferred
- Previous sales or marketing experience a plus
- SAP and/or Salesforce experience a plus LI-LL1 #LI-Hybrid
