Job Summary:

Join the Bassett Healthcare Network’s exciting multi-disciplinary School-Based Health Center Team. You will provide psychotherapy to children and youth in a safe and familiar location…their school. As a member of a School-Based Health Center Team, you will collaborate with onsite medical and dental practitioners dedicated to the well-being of children and youth. This is an innovative health care delivery paradigm, which answers the challenge many families face for Mental Health care…Access!

· Provide Best Practice- treatment team School Based Model that is innovative in the Mental Health Arena.
· 10-month position beginning in late August through late June- with availability to work during the summer on a per diem (Off when school is off)
· Be able to spend time with children and families, while offering your professional expertise to the families who request support for their children.
· Working within the School calendars but employed by Bassett Healthcare Network.
· Clinical supervision is available for clinical licensing needs.
· Ability to meet with children where they are located.
· Ability to do comprehensive MH treatment with access to Parents/Guardians, school and Medical providers more easily accessible.
· Providing short term and long-term Psychotherapeutic services, treatment planning and comprehensive assessments, following NYS Mental Health requirements.
· Treatment team support and consultation Re: referral for medication assessment and management.

· Ability to Offer preventative services to families who are motivated to seek support?

Locations:

Delhi, New York (5 days per week)

South Kortright, NY and Stamford, NY (split positon) 7 miles apart ( 4 days per week)

Morris and Laurens (split position) 10 miles apart (5 days per week)

Edmeston, NY 3.5 days per week

Sherburne, NY 4 days per week

Job Qualifications:

Education/Qualifications:

· Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited school of social work is required
· Provisional appointment pending licensure within 3 months of hire will be considered

· Licensure/Certificates: One of the following: Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW), Licensed Clinical Social Worker(LCSW), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW-R), Licensed Mental Health Counselor (MHC) or Licensed Creative Arts Therapist.
