Reports To: General or Associate Manager
Type: Seasonal Cashier, Non-‐Exempt

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Engage multiple clients at the cash wrap and create a positive, lasting impression by offering personalized service
• Accurate and efficiently perform register/POS transactions, sales, returns, exchanges (within timeliness standards)
• Ensure accurate ringing and pricing of merchandise, use appropriate price overrides when necessary to charge the correct price of SKUs
• Affirm the client's purchase and offer additional merchandise suggestions to complement and complete initial selection
• Ensure client is aware of promotions that may impact sales
• Promote continued customer engagement through email capture, opinion lab, and social media - give compelling reasons to want to stay connected
• Promote and process St. Jude's contributions during campaign
• Share information and testimonials about products
• Assist sales team in providing personalized service, store client purchases at cash wrap (including Buy Online Pick Up In Store), process holds, locate merchandise
• Maintain visual standards and supplies of the cash wrap area
• Accept direction from management
• Other duties including, but not limited to: gift wrapping, preparing pre-packaged gifting options, replenishment of product, answering telephones, placing online orders, and opening/processing shipment
• Adapt to change; take initiative and follow-up with a sense of urgency
• Communicate effectively, remain composed and tactful, and use appropriate verbal and non-verbal skills
• Comply with attendance, timekeeping, dress code, and other Human Resources and Operational practices and procedures
• Uphold the core values of the Company, treating all associates and customers with dignity and respect

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Ability to be mobile on the sales floor and stock room for extended periods of time
• Availability to meet the Seasonal needs of the business, including annual inventory
• Ability to lift and mobilize medium to large boxes (up to 75 pounds) while utilizing appropriate equipment and meeting safety standards

Job Types: Part-time, Temporary

Pay: $16.00 per hour
