Job Title

Seasonal Snow Season Equipment Laborer (with the potential for year round employment)

Responsibilities

Must be available during any type of weather event which may occur overnights on weekends and holidays for the ENTIRE snow season: November 01, 2022 thru April 15, 2023:

*Remove snow using a snow plow, snow blower, leaf blower, shovel, brush, or required tools and equipment for several hours at a time, depending on the amount of snowfall *Operate walk-behind snow thrower and ice melter equipment. *Operate snow plows, snow brooms, snow blower, and shovels. *Use hand tools to clear snow and ice from around signs and hydrants and fixtures. *Place removed snow in appropriate locations, avoiding piling it on trees, shrubs, fire hydrants or sidewalks. *Must be available to report either to a central location or directly to the jobsite *Provide aid and guidance to the public. *Observe all safety rules and report any job related problems, accidents and/or injuries. and report to your direct supervisor *Participate in maintaining a safe and secure work environment for team employees and clients by adhering to company safety policies *Fill out a job sheet (paper or digital) as soon as you are finished working after each snow removal operation * Perform other tasks as assigned by supervisor/manager

Qualifications

*High school diploma or general education degree (GED); OR 2 years related experience and/or training *Possess/maintain a valid driver’s license

Experience:

PROFICIENT EXPERIENCE in the operation of snow removal and ice melt tools and equipment- (REQUIRED)

*relevant: 2 years (Preferred) *Snow Removal: 2 years (Preferred) *Equipment Operations: 2 years (Preferred)

- Sidewalk Machine Operator (ATV, RTV, Snow Blowers, loaders, skid steers, etc)

Ensure thorough and complete records are kept of repairs and preventative maintenance.

Basic working knowledge of and ability to make light repairs on trailers, tractors, and automotive fleet

Ability to work in a "team" environment

Compensation

Experience level pending; $25 to $55 per hour.

Higher pay rate to those with Managerial or Mechanical Experience:

*Perform preventive maintenance (lube, oil change, replace belts, hoses, inspect brakes, repack bearings, check tires, etc, on all size vehicles. *Diagnose and effectively repair mechanical, engine and electrical irregularities/malfunctions on all size vehicles. *Schedule and complete all factory recommended routine equipment maintenance *Maintain shop inventory of fluids, parts, supplies, and necessary tools. *Proficient in the operation of heavy machinery (Back - hoe, end-loader, skid-steer, bobcat, fork-lift, pulling hitched trailer) *Ensure thorough and complete records are kept of repairs and preventative maintenance. *Basic working knowledge of and ability to make light repairs on trailers, tractors, and automotive fleet *Ability to work in a "team" environment
