To support our rapid growth, we’re seeking a Senior Accountant, reporting to our Associate Director of Accounting to work in this hybrid role (a mix of working remotely/from home but also in our Austin, TX headquarters). You will be a key member of the accounting team by leading projects to identify low-lift/high-return business opportunities, and to improve the quality of information we deliver to our investors and our Board.

What You’ll Do:*

• Own the revenue accounting function, scaling for broadening of existing channels and launch of new channels.
• Validate sales and fulfillment reports for multiple channels, reconciling data with various payment processors. Identify discrepancies, determine root causes, and develop and implement solutions.
• Test and implement solutions that drive revenue and billing systems automation, improvement, and optimization.
• Identify and troubleshoot disruptions in data flows that affect order management.
• Point person for refund activity, tracking and analysis of returns.
• Collaborate with B2B sales team to assist with pre- and post-sales support for revenue recognition and credit arrangements.
• Prepare month-end journal entries and schedules related to e-commerce, retail channels, and processor cash inflows.
• Ad hoc reporting and schedule production to support audit and tax requirements.
• Identify ways to improve processes and efficiency as we move through a phase of rapid growth and channel expansions.
• And many other activities that arise in an early-stage startup!

Who You Are:
You’re a curious, creative, and analytical thinker that’s passionate about making an impact on a fast-moving, agile and people-centric company. You have prior experience as a revenue accountant. You operate well independently but are not afraid to ask for help when needed, and have a bias to implement and test solutions.

Required Qualifications:*

• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience
• Bachelor’s degree required, CPA a plus
• Excellent communicator who is skilled at building cross-functional relationships
• Proven ability to operate in a fast-paced environment
• High attention to detail and ability to work independently and also collaboratively
• Ability to work full-time at our newly built Austin, TX headquarters (St. Elmo)

Preferred (Bonus) Qualifications:

• Familiarity working with ERP solutions (Netsuite) and Celigo experience a plus
• Familiarity with e-commerce and/or physical goods companies
