Job Summary:

The sr. accountant is responsible for the day-to-day operation of the accounting team in a rapidly growing environment

Job Responsibility:

• Work with leadership to build and eventually own the monthly and quarterly financial close process with a focus on P&L’s, Balance Sheet, and other financial statement reporting and variances analysis.
• Assist in the implementation and ongoing success of our ERP (moving to SAP Business One from QuickBooks).
• Review balance sheet accounts and journal entries and solve any discrepancies.
• Oversee and help develop accounting staff.
• Manage external audits and implement internal controls.
• Develop monthly/quarterly financial statements/ad-hoc financial analysis.
• Continuously look for opportunities to improve the process.
• Oversee bank reconciliation in several entities.
• Assist in the creation of annual budgets.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting needed.
• CPA and advanced degree preferred.
• 5+ years of hands-on accounting experience.
• Previous experience with a large ERP system (SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, Sage…).
• Retail or multi-location experience preferred.
• Strong Excel skills and attention to detail.
