Senior Director of Behavioral Health Services (FT) Job at The Women's Center
The Women’s Center (TWC) is a vibrant nonprofit operating a behavioral health outpatient center headquartered in Vienna, Virginia with an office in the District of Columbia. TWC is looking for a full-time Senior Director of Behavioral Health Services. This position reports directly to the Executive Director (ED), and serves as the strategic and operational leader of the clinical team.
This position will be responsible for financial and administrative operations, practice management, and strategic planning related to programs, quality measures, and internal and external growth. The successful candidate will be a seasoned licensed mental health professional who has P&L management experience, operations experience, and is a self-starter, strong communicator and motivational leader.
Position Duties:
- Provide operational direction and management for outpatient mental health services offered through licensed therapists, pre-licensed therapists and student interns at a nonprofit mission driven organization.
- Function as the direct administrative and professional supervisor (including hiring) for the Domestic Violence/Sexual Assault Director, Clinical Training Director, Clinical Supervisors, Intake Supervisors, therapists and other positions related to program and services.
- Oversees scheduling, clinical records, and responsible for the development and implementation of programs, policies, and procedures; oversight of administrative and programmatic resources; and monitoring of outcomes.
- Provide clinical supervision for staff, as needed.
- Manage an organizational structure, delineating the lines of authority and supervisory controls including quality assurance essential to carrying out the mission of the center.
- Manage multiple priorities, produce effective clinical outcomes, and demonstrate knowledge of clinical interventions as well as knowledge of referral sources available for the clients.
- Responsible for ensuring referral development, risk management and client satisfaction with services.
- Assists CEO with development, implementation and management of strategic plans including grant submissions.
- Support TWC Board of Directors as lead staff to the Board’s Services Committee as well as lead/participate in internal and external committees.
- In partnership with the ED, manage or participate in community mental health partnerships and maintain relationships with government, for profit, and nonprofit behavioral health organizations creating awareness of TWC services and generating referrals.
- Ensure compliance with appropriate licensing boards, HIPAA, Human Rights and industry ethics.
Requirements:
- Five to seven years of experience providing direct behavioral health service.
- Five to seven years of experience managing mental health programs.
- Experience in operational management techniques and financial management.
- Master's degree in social work, psychology, mental health or applicable discipline.
- Valid Virginia licensure in Social Work, Professional Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy or Clinical Psychology.
