Volunteer Behavioral Health is now hiring a Senior Director of Crisis and CSU for Murfreesboro TN, and Surrounding areas.
EXEMPLARY DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
Agrees to follow all applicable laws and regulations, including VBHCS Standards of Conduct and VBHCS Policies and Procedures, in order to create and maintain a healthcare and business environment that is committed to integrity and ethical conduct.
Duties include, but are not limited to:
1. Implement the programs according to contract requirements and TDMHSAS Scope of Services.
2. Monitor the budget for crisis continuum in region including: regional crisis teams, walk-in center, Crisis Stabilization Unit and detox.
3. Recruit and train individual employees.
4. Supervise the department managers including Regional Crisis Director, Crisis Coordinators, Lead Crisis Intervention Specialists, regional crisis teams, walk-in center staff, Director of 24/7 Integrated Services.
5. Onsite point person for other departments as needed.
6. Oversee clinical and administrative supervision for reporting departments.
7. Implement the program according to well defined standard operating procedures, including coordination of community resources to meet behavioral health/detox emergency needs of individuals.
8. Conduct and assist department managers with staff meetings.
9. Set goals and objectives for Crisis Continuum/Substance Use and Co-occurring Services.
10. Work with Sr. VP of Crisis Services and Sr. VP of Substance Use and Co-occurring Services to establish administrative Policies and Procedures.
11. Evaluate crisis and detox services provided through satisfaction surveys, community response, and monthly reports.
12. Prepare written reports as necessary.
13. Counsel employees on their attendance, performance and complaints.
14. Provide clinical supervision as necessary, which can be conducted via conference call or telehealth.
15. Provide clinical review and supervision during on-call rotations.
16. Monitor staff documentation in the medical records.
17. Arrange and participate in organization planning sessions as necessary to improve crisis/substance use services in the VBHCS system.
18. Maintain the programs in accordance with all licensure and other regulatory bodies, rules and standards.
19. Provide community relations to the RMHIs, private inpatient psychiatric hospitals, substance use facilities, emergency departments, law enforcement, mental health providers and other community agencies.
20. Complete all data entry according to quality management standards and procedures.
21. Participate in staff meetings, training and supervisory sessions as required
22. Additional duties/responsibilities as assigned.
EDUCATION/ EXPERIENCE:
Must have a Master’s degree in the clinical field (social work, counseling or psychology) or related field and a valid Tennessee License required for Mandatory Prescreening Agent. Must obtain MPA within 6 months of starting. Strong clinical background. Experience in budgeting and knowledge of management information systems is preferred. Administrative experience managing mental health and substance abuse program required. Able to use good judgment and function well in pressure situations. Knowledgeable of commitment procedures. Knowledgeable of resources. Timely, accurate and thorough documentation of staff and client records as well as work activities.

Pay: From $70,000.00 per year
