Senior Engineering Manager Job at Personnel Consulting Group
Our Metairie client is looking for a Senior Engineering Manager for their firm.
Job Responsibilities:
- Assist the Regional Manager in growing the office under the guise of the current strategy, annual office plans, and goals as set forth by the Chief Operating or Development Officer(s). This may include growing the office backlog, expanding the client base, increasing local service offerings, and/or penetrating new markets
- Submit proposals of the highest caliber in compliance with marketing standards and practices; collaborate with the Chief Development Officer and his subordinates in this endeavor; maintain outstanding client satisfaction and relationships, while furthering the firm’s image as an exceptional provider of engineering services
- Participate actively in local professional affiliations; ensure office personnel receive exposure to the same
Qualifications:
- BS Degree in Civil Engineering required
- LA PE required (or ability to obtain)
- At least 15 years of conceptual, preliminary, and final design and plan production experience, as well as a familiarity with Louisiana DOTD details and production
- Prior Management of Group or Department
Skills:
- Outstanding communication—written, oral, and presentation—skills are necessary, as is a strong ability to provide mentorship to all office personnel.
- Assume leadership role and responsibility for all facets of office operation and facilities; ensure adequate staff assignments and that all office personnel has the tools and resources necessary to effectively discharge their responsibilities
- Maintain utilization of office personnel; ensure all personnel have continued assignments that balance project demands with opportunities for professional development
- Ability to supervise junior-level design staff
- Assume standard duties of a Project Manager, including but not limited to the development and execution of project plans, monthly updates to project plans, and other responsibilities pursuant to internal project management policies
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $140,000.00 - $160,000.00 per year
