Senior Planning Analyst
ASU Enterprise Partners is an efficient network of highly skilled teams; it is comprised of a full complement of professional services that work in concert with specialized business units to provide full resources and extend Arizona State University’s ability to achieve its charter.
The Senior Planning Analyst is responsible for a wide range of analytical, special project, budgeting and strategic long range planning work in collaboration with, and in support of the Business Planning and Strategy department and other Enterprise Partners departments. The Senior Planning Analyst reports to the Director of Strategic Planning & Analysis.
What you’ll do:
  • Performs highly complex analyses, scenario planning, financial modeling, research, and data analytics
  • Continuously manages, analyzes, and refines the organizational budget and long-range financial planning models to inform and support data-aligned decision making
  • Develops, maintains, and enhances forecasting models, including creation of new models and integration of new tools as new business needs arise
  • Collaborates with business units; seamlessly integrates financial forecasts and long-range models
  • Maintains a high level of data integration with other Enterprise Partners departments
  • Liaises with the Technology & Solutions team; monitors integrations between systems and troubleshoots and updates integrations as needed
  • Engages in and supports ad-hoc analyses and special projects at the request of leadership
  • Undertakes special projects as needed
  • Other duties as assigned
What you'll need:
  • Excellent analytical skills for interpretation of complex data
  • Demonstrated ability to act as a team lead or mentor to junior team members
  • Ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality and responsibility regarding information related to Enterprise Partners, its subsidiaries, and University business and confidential prospect information
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic environment
  • Works independently with minimal supervision
  • Resourceful problem solver with a strong interest in process improvement
  • Ability to take initiative and set priorities while being flexible
  • Collaborative style, combined with the ability and desire to work in a team-based environment
  • High attention to detail and organizational skills; ability to coordinate multiple projects simultaneously and complete assigned duties successfully
  • Knowledge of enterprise resource planning (ERP) information systems, including relational databases, enterprise planning technologies, and business analytics tools
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills (including tables, charts, pivot tables and complex formulas)
  • Strong and collegial interpersonal skills and an ability to communicate effectively in person, in writing, and by phone
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Adept at navigating complex environments with evolving priorities and communication plans
Relevant qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Finance, Analytics, or related field AND
  • At least three (3) years of related experience OR
  • Any equivalent combination of education and experience
Preferred Education and Experience:
  • Four (4) to seven (7) years of related experience
