Senior Frontend Software Engineer (React) Job at Roger LLC
Position Description:
Roger is technology that streamlines dry bulk transport by connecting the industrys top shippers and carriers. As a member of one of our feature delivery teams, you will work in a fully remote, agile environment supporting our mission of digitizing the dry bulk freight shipping industry by providing performant, tested solutions.
A successful candidate has expert level experience in React and JavaScript, an entrepreneurial mindset, and a strong passion for solving problems.
Full-time (contract to hire)
Fully remote
Core Responsibilities
Youll work with a product owner, and QA tester to deliver code to production with good test coverage, and best in class performance.
Work with designers to translate designs into a functional and performant application.
Minimum Qualifications
JavaScript: 5 years experience.
React: 3 years experience.
Experience in an agile environment for at least 1 year.
Stable home internet connection, and able to provide your own hardware (Mac or Windows laptop, webcam)
Strong understanding of continuous integration, writing tests.
Demonstrated ability to write high quality software.
Ideal Candidate Will Have
A.S. or B.S. in Computer Science
Strong demonstrated ability to develop seamless responsive user interfaces.
Familiarity with Tailwind, and Material UI.
Familiarity with best practices regarding accessibility.
Strong understanding of best practices for SPA style app development.
Experience integrating with 3rd party vendors with best practices.
Experience using Docker for local development.
Experience working in a microservices architecture environment with event bus/message queue.
Passing familiarity or experience with Laravel and MySQL.
Passing familiarity or experience with Kubernetes, Google Cloud Platform (specifically GKS), Azure DevOps (CI/deployment), Azure cloud services.
Strong mentorship and leadership qualities.
