About this Position:

Lead strategy for assigned department responsible for characteristic improvement through investment development/prioritization/justification, RO/GO benchmarking/standardization, new model early input, and confirmation of new equipment/process/technology impact from an LO viewpoint.

LO(Local), RO (Regional), GO (Global)


Responsibilities include:

  • Lead development of local/regional strategy and NM early input to include leadership of studies, new technology impact assessment, project evaluations through E-plan, capacity/allocation studies and BP theme development/support.

  • Set regional direction through regional/global studies/problem solving and effective collaboration (and consensus building) with department, plant, and regional teams.

  • Lead characteristics analysis – Data collection, benchmarking, best practice sharing.

  • Local/Regional Department Expert - Support and mentorship within assigned department and PE Genpo team.

  • Lead specification approval for RO lead projects.

Who we are seeking:

Required Work Experience:

  • 10+ years of relevant engineering work experience (focused in ST, PO, WE, PA, or AF category as applicable to job title)

Required Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or equivalent relevant experience.

Desired skills:

  • Knowledge and experience with Honda Business Planning Process.

  • Strong verbal and written skills to communicate effectively both with customers and internal project teams.

  • Business acumen in a technical environment.


Additional Position Factors:

  • Flexible Work Hours.

  • Flexible Work Schedule.

  • Estimate 5-10 Business trips per year may be required to support regional initiatives and improve overall efforts to improve standardization across the region. This activity may require short-term assignments at other Honda sites for 1-to-2-week periods.

  • 5-15 hours of OT per week.

  • Weekend and holiday work may be required.
