Zillow is looking for a strategic, transformational leader to join our Corporate Services PMO team! The Senior Program Portfolio Manager will be responsible for programs/portfolios of work that will have significant impact on how Corporate Services provides products and services, working closely with multiple functional areas and providing business performance management and enterprise transformation. The successful candidate will integrate knowledge of end-to-end business processes, identify key value drivers and metrics to inform a streamlined and visible approach to guide effective program/initiative prioritization, activation, set up, delivery, oversight, and closeout.

About the role

We are looking for an experienced strategist, skilled facilitator and innovative operator with a strong eye towards efficiency and compliance. The ideal candidate will not only thrive in ambiguous environments but also have strong collaboration and interpersonal skills to help reach clarity.

In this role, you'll partner with multiple teams across Zillow to design, develop and implement solutions for operational excellence in alignment with our strategic vision. You'll be a sounding board for our partners, using your skills and collaborative efforts to challenge the status quo and help find a common vision as new initiatives and ideas arise.

You Will:

  • Serve as leader for Corporate Program Portfolio Management, focusing on strategic enablement and functional maturation, roadmap development and implementation across multiple functions and business lines to meet financial targets

  • Monitor and track delivery of projects, programs and initiatives, calling out risks to appropriate leaders, ensuring mitigation strategies are developed and implemented as necessary

  • Drive adoption and adherence to processes, procedures, methods and standards for portfolio management and program delivery

  • Identify high-leverage opportunities to address business challenges, limitations, or constraints

  • Ensure consistent implementation of common PMO standards, reporting, and operationalization of projects and programs

  • Manage tracking and reporting toward closure of regulatory, audit self-identified issues

  • Contribute to Zillow-wide strategy planning and financial planning processes

  • Develop and maintain portfolio-level metrics and reporting, documentation and artifacts, including portfolio health, trend analysis, and quarterly forecasts and actuals

  • Lead the delivery of critical initiatives, assess and adapt as needed to ensure quality of execution, total ownership, remove obstacles, and build efficiency and simplicity

This role has been categorized as a Remote position. “Remote” employees do not have a permanent corporate office workplace and, instead, work from a physical location of their choice which must be identified to the Company. Employees may live in any of the 50 US States, with limited exceptions. In certain cases, an employee in a remote-designated job may need to live in a specific region or time zone to support customers or clients as part of their role.

In California, Colorado, Connecticut, Nevada, New York City and Washington the standard base pay range for this role is $117,000.00 - $187,000.00 Annually. This base pay range is specific to California, Colorado, Connecticut, Nevada, New York City and Washington and may not be applicable to other locations.

In addition to a competitive base salary this position is also eligible for equity awards based on factors such as experience, performance and location. Actual amounts will vary depending on experience, performance and location.

Who you are

  • 10+ years of program/portfolio management experience leveraging varying methodologies, ideally with PMP/PgMP/PfMP certification, Six Sigma certification, Organizational Change Management certification, or equivalent

  • Experience working cross-functionally and cross-culturally in support of business processes and/or systems, especially as they impact and influence multiple departments and levels of management

  • Strong command of project, program and portfolio management capabilities, including developing and managing timelines, budgets, and risks, as well as experience with matrixed leadership, facilitation, and business-case development

  • Experience with Project/Product/Portfolio management tools such as Asana, Smartsheet, Jira, Jira Align, Zapier

  • Strong written and oral communication skills with the proven ability to work with all levels within the organization

  • Ability to prioritize, organize, and deliver within a high-pressure environment

  • Adaptable to changing requirements and business needs

  • Capable of juggling multiple programs simultaneously while motivating, encouraging, and ensuring cooperation among team members

  • Ability to work with little or no supervision and in an ambiguous environment

  • Familiarity with financial and SAAS systems (e.g. Workday, Zuora, Salesforce) and processes

  • Bachelor's degree in business, finance, accounting, information systems or software-related field
