Senior Satcom Technician Job at Max Marine Electronics Inc.
Job Purpose:
The Senior Satcom Technician is responsible for the testing, repair, and sale of satellite TV, VSAT, and other Satcom equipment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
● Test, take pictures of, and list Satcom equipment and parts.
● Devise sales strategies for Satcom equipment that require minimal post-sales support.
● Provide post-sales support to customers experiencing issues.
● Work with outside vendors such as welders, powder coaters, etc when needed for production of parts.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required, marine satellite communication experience required.
Mechanical aptitude
Working knowledge of AC and DC electrical theory.
Familiar with using Command Prompt or Serial Port Device Monitoring software.
Ability to terminate RG-6, RG-11, LMR-400 coaxial cables.
Working conditions:
Occasionally required to work outside of normal working hours.
Physical requirements:
Standing, sitting, walking, repetitive movement, lifting of objects up to 50-70 pounds.
Hours 8:30am-5:30pm
