Position: Sheet Metal Fabricator

This position reports to a team lead and involves constructing and/ or fabricating with hand tools and machines including brake press, shear, mig welder plasma cutter, cutoff saws, punch press and pneumatic sander.

Required Skills:

• Accurately measure, cut and move materials into place for assembly.
• Safely utilize overhead cranes to maneuver product.
• Advanced understanding of aluminum fabrication (i.e. welding, chemical and mechanical fastening), plastics and metal machinery.
• Fasten seams or joints together with screws, rivets, caulks, metal drive clips or bonds to assemble components into products or to repair sheet metal items.
• Trim, file, grind, deburr, buff, or smooth surfaces, seams, or joints of assembled parts using hand tools or portable power tools.
• Setup and operate fabricating machines to cut, bend, straighten and shape components to form specified dimensions as outlined on customer's orders.
• Weld and solder metal components together.
• Read prints and transfer bend information.
• Requires strong problem-solving skills and extraordinary attention to detail.

Company Requirements:

• The associate must be 18 years or older.
• Associate must be able to lift/ move up to 50 pounds.
• Associate will be expected to work overtime when needed.
