Shop Equipment Technician Job at VIP Tires and Service
Position Title: Shop Equipment Technician
Reporting To: Director, Equipment, Shop Training, and Tech School Partnerships
Location: VIP Support Center, Auburn, ME
- Maintenance and repair of shop equipment at all VIP locations
- Train local technicians on preventative maintenance procedures on shop equipment.
- Inspect Lifts at all locations based on a pre-determined schedule
- Hands-on equipment repair and maintenance
- Management of VIP’s Equipment Database for all locations, including data accuracy, serial numbers, model numbers, maintenance and repair records, and cost reporting
- Responds in a timely manner when equipment repair is required
- Utilizes and trains the local technicians on documented preventive maintenance schedules for all shop equipment, including maintenance tasks, schedules, assignment of responsibility, and training required
- Maintains vehicle, equipment and tools required for VIP’s Shop Equipment
- Maintains repair parts inventory on their vehicle
TRAVEL REQUIRED: Estimated 40% +/- overnight travel required, as necessary
