Job Description:
The Site Operational Coordinator (SOC) provides site-specific synchronization between the Operational Research and Integration Office NCDMPH (ORION), FIT Integration Lead, and local Federal and civilian NDMS partners in implementing a National Disaster Medical System (NDMS) Pilot Program. This program is designed to ultimately inform nationwide changes to the existing NDMS. The SOC will work with local federal and civilian NDMS partners to establish site-specific implementation plans, while harmonizing core implementation elements. This work includes partnering with the research team to facilitate NDMS studies, systematically implementing recommended changes, measuring intervention outcomes, and iteratively making improvements to optimize site-specific performance. A SOC is proficient in managing the daily operations of the site delivery, and oversight of key business enablers to achieve the program's objectives and goals. A SOC must be capable of leading with influence rather than authority.
Responsibilities:
- Assess prior research findings and translate them into a site implementation plan to increase the local NDMS interoperability and medical surge capacity
- Assist with the establishment of interoperability benchmarks with associated metrics to measure site performance
- Design and deploy change management activities that set up pilot site for long-term success
- Operationalize site implementation plan in collaboration with NDMS partners
- Participate in a federal level Pilot tabletop exercise to validate MCNIS findings, refine plans, and assess interagency metrics
- Conduct COVID-19 assessment of lessons-learned to make actionable NDMS recommendations for Pilot implementation plan interventions
- Responsible for communications with various site-specific stakeholders and across the Pilot Program's team
- Conduct a stakeholder assessment and manage stakeholder relationships through behavior models
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree with 12 years of experience
- Demonstrated expertise in hospital emergency preparedness
- Experience in healthcare staffing, specialized training, medical logistics, telemedicine, patient regulating, movement (flow), and situational status reporting, tracking, and surveillance
- Project management
- Exceptional written, oral, and non-verbal communication skills. Must be able to structure communication and discern complex needs into consumable ideas.
- Public Trust Clearance (or ability to successfully obtain one)
- US Citizen
