Cashier
Position Summary:
- Performs all duties related to meal counting and collection of funds
- Delivers quality customer service to all patrons
- Maintains harmonious relationships with fellow team members
- Possess effective written and verbal communication skills
Reports To:
Café Manager and/or Lead Team Member
Supervisory Duties:
There are no supervisory duties for this position
Essential Functions:
- Using a computerized Point of Sale system; collects money, and reconciles meal transactions before,
during and after meal service
- Follows all USDA regulations for counting and claiming meals
- Ability to read, follow, and interpret USDA policies and procedures
- Able to effectively communicate with customers and team members
- Assist with food preparation as required
- Participates in all cleaning functions following proper procedures for safety and sanitation as set forth
by local, state, and federal laws
- Performs additional duties as required by the café manager and/or lead team member
Physical Requirements:
Walking, carrying, bending, kneeling, reaching, pushing, and pulling. Must be able to lift a maximum of 50
pounds, withstand heat, and stand for long periods of time.
Educational Requirements:
- High school diploma
Work Experience:
Previous experience working in a food service operation performing job duties listed in Essential Functions.
Additional Requirements:
All employees are required to pass a Level 2 background check before beginning employment
