Description:

Our Software Development Manager will help create a platform that will transform the way our company operates. This is an opportunity to make a seismic impact on the way consumers search, book, and manage their travel. You will help build this new technology from the ground up, analyze requirements, and be accountable for designing scalable, secure, and robust software. You will lead a small team of software developers supporting multiple applications across two Agile/SCRUM teams, as well as work closely with other development team members to create exceptional software that is vital to the success of Destify. You will:

  • Manage the people, the processes and the code across all applications.
  • This is a player coach role. 60/40 leadership/individual contributions.
  • Own all architecture, coding, testing, and deployment processes.
  • Provide technical guidance and grow the expertise of your team’s knowledge in architecture, performance, scalability, maintainability, and experimentation.
  • Partner closely with Product to define feature requirements and ensure effective prioritization and execution.
  • Meet KPIs and be responsible for performance on a weekly basis.
  • Stay current on modern technologies and innovations.
  • Write and groom technical stories to define, estimate, and track the team's work.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science
  • 5+ years of: professional development, leading a development team, designing cloud microservices architecture, .Net Core / MVC , React.js and a state management library
  • Extensive experience providing code reviews in C#/ JavaScript /TypeScript
  • Intermediate level experience with AWS and Lambda functions
  • MS SQL relational database design and querying
  • Github expert, working knowledge of Jira and Slack
  • Thorough understanding of the following
    • Async programming and the Task Parallel Library in C#/.Net
    • MsBuild syntax
    • OpenId Connect, OAuth2, and the Microsoft Identity Framework (experience with Identity Server a plus)
    • Entity Framework and authoring queries/stored procedures/views/etc. in Microsoft SQL syntax
    • A scripting language, such as bash or powershell
  • Authoring yaml/yml CI/CD pipelines for Github Actions, Azure Pipelines/DevOps, AWS CodeBuild, and AWS Amplify
  • Experience writing C# Unit Tests with xUnit (or other testing framework) and usage of Mocks
  • Experience writing e2e Integration Tests with Cypress, in JavaScript /TypeScript
  • Ability to debug JavaScript/TypeScript
  • Experience with any of the following IaC (infrastructure as code) frameworks: CloudFormation, TerraForm, CDK
  • Understanding of OWASP and best practices for security

  • Exposure to EOS or Scaling Up
